The A-TEAM OAHU is back from the COMPASS RETreat and we are still in an amazing vibe and headspace from the great week we had in San Diego! The COMPASS RETreat was again, a memorable experience which has enriched not only the services we can provide to our clients, but it has given us new motivation and inspiration! Though there were many highlights of this event, it is always wonderful to hear Robert Reffkin speak at the event. He is truly a visionary leader and unlike any other.

One of my favorite parts of each year’s RETreat event is the mini-retreat that takes place with my Private Client Network colleagues. This day, at the beginning of RETreat, brings together top agents from 70+ luxury markets across the country. PCN agents are truly the best-of-the-best at COMPASS and I am privileged to be part of this group, where I learn so much from such amazing people.

A FIRST for this year and definitely another highlight of the RETreat was the launch of the COMPASS MILITARY DIVISION aboard the USS Midway. The Compass Military Division is a select group of agents who are trusted resources for military clients and their unique real estate needs. I am honored to be able to serve military service members and veterans around the country through this group of special real estate agents, and to have been selected as the Hawaii Regional Director for the CMD.

Different from years before, there were many more Hawaii agents at the COMPASS retreat. It was nice to see my Oahu colleagues in a different setting, while in San Diego. We were able to get together on the last night and spend some time together at PetCo Park, though we were all busy doing other things apart from one another during most of the other days we were at RETreat.

This year, our key-note speaker at RETreat was Jay Shetty and he was both interesting and inspirational.

Networking at both the educational seminars and the after hour events was also off-the-charts this year! We met so many exceptional people. Compass agents truly stand for excellence in the profession and I am proud to be among this group.

The fun announcement at the end was that next year’s RETreat “might be” in Hawaii. I will believe that when I see it. Of course, they said also that Scottsdale and Denver were contenders, as well as the possibility of an event in Charleston, SC. Stay tuned.

Last, I can’t go without mentioning how incredibly beautiful San Diego was to visit. I used to live in San Diego many years ago, but hadn’t been back in over 15 years. I’d forgotten what a lovely city it is. The weather was fabulous and everything was amazing.
